2022 Oral History Honorees

Committee Continues Capturing Austin Oral Histories

Synergy is the best word to describe what’s going on with the AHCA Oral History Committee.

Eight enthusiastic volunteers have joined the committee: Joe Bryson, Reenie Collins, Lowell Keig, Cheryl Kempf, Cheri Lomonte, Steve Mobley, Rosemary Morrow, and Alyssa Walker. Together with a dedicated of group of returning committee members, they are well on their way to accomplishing this year’s goal of 25 new oral history interviews and transcripts.

While the list of interviewees for 2021-2022 has been set, if you know of someone important to Austin’s history who you feel should be interviewed in the future, you can nominate that person by visiting the Oral History page of the AHCA website and fill out a nomination form.

The Oral History web page also has links to oral histories captured from 2015 to the present.
