AHCA Seeks Corporate Members

There’s a new energy fueling AHCA’s Corporate Membership program, which will provides a variety of participation benefits designed to accommodate a wide range of interests for corporate partners.

“Austin businesses and the people who own and operate them have been the building blocks of Austin's history, and as this history moves us into the future, ACHA's corporate partners will help ensure the preservation of our rich Austin story," said Jeffrey Dochen, chairman of the AHCA Membership Committee.

The focus on corporate level members originally began in mid-2020, but the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, including business shutdowns, took wind out of the sail. As businesses begin to open back up and executive leaders become more accessible, efforts will resume to bring more corporations into partnership with the AHCA.

Former Austin Mayor and current AHCA President Lee Cooke says businesses with a distinct Austin connection and interest in Austin history will be the ones offered the first chance to become corporate faces of the AHCA.

“As AHCA enters its fifth decade of advocacy for Austin and Travis County history, the time is now to build toward 100 or more business and corporate members who will adopt a three-to-five-year annual commitment for financial support and expanding in their employee horizons of the rich and diverse histories of our city,” said Cooke. “This is a win-win for all corporate citizens seeking stronger links to where Austin is going by supporting where it has been.”

Founded and headquartered in Austin, the Cumby Group, an AHCA corporate member, recently provided its employees with individual memberships in AHCA as part of its employee benefits package.
